Low level walks around Cambus o May

Managed by Forest Enterprise, Cambus O'May is an attractive highland pinewood with many welcoming facilities for visitors of all abilities. There are four easy to follow way-marked routes with interesting interpretation about the area's history and ecology, and openings in the forest give unexpected views of Lochnagar. Some of the routes are suitable for wheelchairs, while others have seats located at the top of steeper sections.

1) Forest Trails

Four attractive circular routes (1- 5 km, some trails suitable for wheelchairs) All routes are waymarked. These trails include interesting site interpretation of the forest and its wildlife.

These trails are managed by the Forestry Commission and like all Forestry Commission woods, Cambus O'May is a working forest. During harvesting and thinning we may have to divert or close some of the paths, for your safety Please check out the link to the FCs own Cambus O'May web pages below to find out if any paths are affected just now. Also, for the protection of capercaillie please keep dogs at heel or on a short lead between March and August.
