Balmoral Castle

Purchased and rebuilt by Prince Albert for his beloved wife, Queen Victoria in 1852, the impressive Balmoral remains a favourite haunt of the Royal family. The grounds are open to visitors from April to July, closing for the Queen's arrival in August.

Location
At Crathie, 44 miles, 71 km (1 hr) west of Aberdeen on the A93.
